As a long term state food security policy, Nigeria government is starting a strategic plan for development of cassava industry.

The first step is develop 5million tons/year fresh cassava roots processing and provide 1.25million tons high quality cassava flour (HQCF) to food market, so as to decrease the capacity of imported wheat flour.
