The CIX technology can be used for continuous adsorption, ion exchange, chromatographic separation processes etc.

The CIX continuous IX system integrates all steps in fixed bed systems integrated into one unit containing a number of smaller resin columns than fixed beds, just like dividing the fixed bed into small portions. The columns are located on the turntable, which is driven by a chain drive. The columns, piping and the drive part of the valve form an integrated system that rotate clockwise at selected time interval, which varies with applications and design of the systems. There are connections at both ends of each resin column. Distributors are present in the columns at both top and down end of each column that ensure process liquid is distributed evenly over the resin bed.
